Is Roblox Premium worth it? What changed with Roblox Plus

Only if you already have it. Roblox stopped selling Premium on April 30, 2026. Members keep their monthly Robux, but can't come back once they cancel. The new option is Roblox Plus: $4.99 a month for discounts and perks, with Robux only in bundles from $8.99.

This page prices Premium, Plus and Roblox's one-off packs per Robux, from Roblox's and Apple's own pages, read on 26 September 2026. Then it sorts out who should keep Premium, who should add Plus, and who's better off buying Robux as they go.

Is Roblox Premium still a thing?

Only for people who already had it. Roblox's Premium help page says Premium hasn't been for sale since April 30, 2026. Members may keep it. Once they cancel, they can't subscribe again.

What members keep, going by that page:

• Monthly Robux, based on their plan, paid by the end of each renewal day.
• Trading and reselling items.
• Publishing avatar items and keeping them on sale, on Premium 1000 and 2200 only.

What they lost on May 30, 2026: the 10% bonus on Robux purchases, and the Premium logo.

Roblox's letter to shareholders of April 30, 2026 shows how it sees the two. It calls Premium mostly an allowance product: an easy way for parents to give their kids Robux every month. The letter says Roblox Plus is built for its most engaged players. Its discount grows after the second month, which Roblox expects to keep people subscribed longer than Premium did.

You may still see Premium in Apple's App Store. Its US listing showed all three tiers on 26 September 2026, and that listing is where the Premium prices below come from.

How much Robux does Roblox Premium give?

Each tier is named after its monthly Robux: 450, 1,000 or 2,200. Apple's US listing prices them at $4.99, $9.99 and $19.99 a month.

Those numbers only mean something next to Roblox's one-off packs. Roblox gives up to 25% more Robux when you buy on the web, on a computer or with a gift card. Buy in the phone app and you get the smaller amount. We read Roblox's Buy Robux page from a US connection on 26 September 2026:

Against the phone app, every tier wins. Against the web it's closer. For the same money, Premium 450 gives 50 fewer Robux, Premium 1000 the same, and Premium 2200 gives 200 more.

Is Roblox Premium better than buying Robux?

That depends on where you'd buy instead. The table puts Roblox's main ways to buy Robux in the US on one scale: cents per Robux, cheapest first. The Premium rows only apply if you still have it.

Premium 2200 gets the $99.99 pack's rate, paid in monthly slices. Only the $199.99 pack beats it. Premium 1000 matches a $9.99 web pack exactly. Premium 450 costs a little more per Robux than any web pack from $4.99 up, but less than the phone app's $4.99 pack.

Is Roblox Premium the same as Roblox Plus?

No. Premium is built around monthly Robux. Plus is built around paying less for things, and plain Plus gives no Robux at all. Roblox's Plus help page compares the two, and its Premium page fills in the rest:

One Plus perk has already shrunk. Plus launched with free, unlimited private servers. Since September 24, 2026, it includes one free server per game, and extra free servers in a game started to expire that day.

You can hold both at once, Roblox says. When Plus launched, Roblox offered Premium members a free month of it on top of Premium.

Which Roblox Plus gives Robux?

Only the bundles. Roblox calls plain Plus "a benefits-only monthly subscription with no monthly stipend." Three bundles add Robux every month. Roblox's Buy Robux page priced them on 26 September 2026:

The crossed-out price equals plain Plus plus the matching web pack. Turn that around and the bundles get interesting. If you'd buy that pack every month anyway, the bundle adds Plus for $4.00, $3.00 or $2.00.

Counted that way, Robux in Plus 500 and Plus 1000 cost 0.80 cents each, less than any one-off pack. In Plus 2000 they cost 0.85 cents. Counted on the whole price, the bundles cost 1.10 to 1.80 cents per Robux. Which reading fits you depends on whether you want Plus at all.

Six copies of that page that the Internet Archive saved between 1 July and 19 September 2026 show the same four prices. These are US prices, though. From Germany, the same page showed the Robux packs in euros, so check it from your own country.

Is Roblox Plus worth it?

Only if you spend enough, or use what only Plus does. The discount is the main part.

Plus takes 10% off in-game items, avatar items and more. From your third month in a row, that becomes 20%. Cancel and come back, and it starts again at 10%, Roblox's creator docs say.

The discount doesn't cover everything. Items over 1 million Robux, resold items, ad credits, UGC publishing fees and group fees are left out.

We worked out when the discount alone pays for plain Plus. We valued Robux at the web rate, $9.99 for 1,000:

• At 20% off, you'd need to buy about 2,500 Robux of items a month, at their listed prices.
• At 10% off, in your first two months, about 5,000.

Spend less than that, and the discount alone won't cover Plus. Its other perks have to make up the rest:

• Sending Robux. Only Plus members can send Robux to other players.
• Private servers. Plus includes one free server per game. Without it, a server costs whatever Robux the game's creator sets, every month.
• Trading. Plus gives unlimited trades. For a limited time, US players get 2 free trades a month without it.

A bundle changes the math. Say you already buy the $19.99 web pack every month. Plus 2000 costs $2.00 more. From the third month, 20% off lets those 2,000 Robux buy items listed at 2,500. Those extra 500 Robux would cost $4.99 on the web.

Is it worth keeping Roblox Premium?

Cancelling can't be undone, so don't rush it. Roblox's help page is plain: cancel, and you can't subscribe to Premium again.

Keep Premium if:

• you spend its Robux every month.
• you'd otherwise buy Robux in the phone app, where every tier beats a one-off pack of the same price.
• you're on Premium 2200, which matches the $99.99 web pack per Robux.
• you publish avatar items on Premium 1000 or 2200.

Add Plus on top if:

• you buy about 2,500 Robux of items a month or more.
• you want to send Robux, or to play in private servers.

Cancel if:

• the Robux pile up unspent.
• you'd rather buy only when you need to. A $9.99 web pack gives the same 1,000 Robux as Premium 1000.

Know the rules before you decide:

• You keep the benefits until the end of the time you've paid for.
• Renewals aren't refunded, so cancel before the renewal date.
• Bought in the phone app? Cancel in Apple's or Google Play's subscription settings, not in Roblox.
• Switching tiers used to mean cancelling and buying the new one, going by Roblox's help page as it read in February 2026. Buying is closed now, so that route is too.

One trap catches people who never meant to leave. If a renewal fails, Roblox tries again for 72 hours, then cancels Premium, and it can't be restarted. Keep your payment method current. Roblox says you can update it under Settings, Subscriptions, if Stripe processed your membership.

Can you buy Roblox Plus with a gift card?

Yes, on the web. Roblox's Plus page lists gift card credit as a way to pay, from the page where you redeem cards. Credit only works in a web browser, not in the Roblox apps. It can't be split with another payment either, so it has to cover the whole price.

Robux aren't on Roblox's list of ways to pay for Plus. That list names cards, PayPal, gift card credit, the App Store and Google Play.

• Swagbucks listed a $10 Roblox card at 1,000 SB when we read its catalogue on 22 September 2026. Its minimum age is 13, and it encourages minors to get a parent's or guardian's permission first.

How much Robux can you send with Roblox Plus?

Up to 1,000 a month to start. Roblox's transfer rules set these limits, and say they may change:

Only the sender needs Plus, and Roblox takes no fee. Age rules apply to both sides:

• 16 and over: complete an age check.
• Under 16: a linked parent account approves every transfer.
• Some regions: parental approval stays until 18.

Roblox's Plus page still says 18 and over. Its transfer page puts the line at 16, and a Roblox staff post of 2 June 2026 says the age was lowered from 18 to 16 in most regions.

Two warnings. Transfers are final, and Robux you receive can't be cashed out through DevEx. And Roblox says it will never ask you to send Robux to verify your account, or for any other reason. Treat any such request as a scam, and see our guide to free Robux scams.
