ySense.com review: who runs it, who can join, and how it pays

ySense is ClixSense renamed, run by Prodege, the company behind Swagbucks. Who can join, how cash-outs work, and the minimum its own pages never state.

We build PaysFair, an earning app that competes with this one. Judge our bias accordingly, and check the numbers below against the sources at the bottom.

Yes, ySense is legit: it's ClixSense renamed in 2019, and Prodege, the company behind Swagbucks, sells its app. We have not used ySense ourselves. This review reads its 30 help articles, its app listings in 27 countries, and five reviews that rank for it.

The catch is in the paperwork. ySense's help pages never state its cash-out minimum in text. Most of its help pages were last edited in 2021, and one of them gives two different bonus rates.

Is ySense legit?

Yes, if legit means a real company that publishes its rules and pays through normal channels. ySense pays by PayPal, Payoneer, Skrill and gift cards, all in US dollars. It may ask you to verify your identity through Persona, a third-party company, usually with a government ID and a selfie.

It also doesn't promise you money. Its own help page says: "It is difficult to determine how much money you can make with ySense."

Its app isn't loved, though. Across the 26 App Store countries where we found it listed, the iPhone app averages 2.44 stars from 432 ratings. In the US it's 3.01 from 86. Ratings are a mood, not proof, but that mood is low.

Who owns ySense?

Prodege LLC, the company that runs Swagbucks. We found it in four places:

  • The App Store lists Prodege LLC as the seller of the ySense app.
  • Google Play lists Prodege as the developer.
  • Prodege's About page shows the ySense logo next to Swagbucks, MyPoints and InboxDollars.
  • ySense's own Payoneer steps ask you to add Prodege as a fund source.

The site behind it is older than the name. The Internet Archive's first copy of clixsense.com is from February 2007. A report dated 1 August 2019 says ClixSense "officially rebranded as ySense" and that "the site is now owned by Prodege LLC". That's what happened to ClixSense.

Is ySense available in Nigeria?

ySense's help centre doesn't list the countries it accepts. It sets ages instead: at least 13 in the United States, and at least 16 in any other country. It adds that age rules may vary by country.

The app stores set lower labels. The App Store marks the ySense app 12+, and Google Play rates it Everyone. ySense's own rule is the one that decides.

We checked where the iPhone app is listed, on 27 September 2026:

A listing only means you can install the app. It doesn't tell you how many surveys reach you in that country.

One page hints at how ySense values each country. For referrals, it pays $0.30 per signup from 34 "top tier" countries and $0.10 from everywhere else. South Africa, Brazil, Malaysia and Thailand are top tier. India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Kenya, the Philippines and Indonesia aren't.

How do you cash out on ySense?

The Cashout link sits next to your balance on the My Account page. It only appears once you reach the minimum for the payment method set in your profile. These are the rules ySense publishes:

RuleWhat ySense saysWhere
CurrencyAll funds are in US dollarscash-out article
ProcessingUp to 10 business days, "may be longer"cash-out article
New accountsUp to 15 business days, for accounts under 30 days old or a first cash-outcash-out article

PayoneerAdd Prodege as a fund source; up to 3 working daysPayoneer article
ArrivalUp to 10 business days for a gift card, Payoneer or PayPalstaff forum post, 2022
MinimumNot statednone

Your name and email on ySense must match your PayPal account exactly, and PayPal must show the account as confirmed with a bank. ySense says the bank step is the one most users get stuck on.

Wait out the full 10 business days before asking. A ySense staff post says the team "is unable to speed up the delivery".

What is the minimum payout on ySense?

ySense doesn't say. None of its 30 help articles states a minimum in text. The cash-out article says the conditions are "shown on the table below", and there's no table below it, in the live page or in the archived copy we read.

The only number we found from ySense itself is old. In September 2019, its blog said Skrill payouts came in amounts "ranging from $5-100". That blog no longer answers.

Reviews fill the gap with figures of their own. Five that rank for ySense give three different PayPal minimums: $25, $10 and $5.80. None cites a ySense page for it.

The real minimum shows inside your account, per payment method. Check it there before you plan around any number, ours included.

How does ySense pay?

For surveys, offers and tasks. ySense says to verify your email and complete your profile first, since the profile helps it target surveys to you.

Surveys work as everywhere else. Many look for a specific group, so a screen-out isn't a completion. Some credit up to 7 business days later, and ySense says the survey will tell you at the start.

Two extras add to what you earn:

  • The Daily Checklist. Finish 2 surveys or 2 offers in a day, and ySense adds a bonus on that day's earnings. Its article says "up to 8%" in the text, then shows 12% plus a 2% streak bonus, 14% at most, in its own table.
  • Referrals. You get a signup commission of $0.10, or $0.30 from a top-tier country, plus $2.00 once your referral earns $5.00. Then 10% of what they earn, rising to 25% with 100 active referrals and 30% with 200.

ySense says "some offers pay $5.00 or more". If one doesn't credit, our page on offers that didn't credit covers what to check.

How much does ySense pay?

ySense won't say, and we won't guess. Its help page calls it "difficult to determine", because it depends on how often you log in, your referrals, and how many surveys and offers you finish.

Ranking reviews do print figures, from "$1-5 per week" to "$90 to $200 per month". None of them shows its method.

What we can say is where the money goes missing. A screen-out doesn't pay the full amount, ySense says. Survey credit can wait up to 7 business days, and a cash-out can take 10 to 15 business days more. Our page on why surveys disqualify you explains the first of those.

Why is ySense not working?

Usually it's one of the account rules. ySense lists these:

  • More than one account. It deactivates members who run more than one. Each person in a household may have their own.
  • Unnatural clicking or bots. Both are reasons for deactivation in ySense's own list.
  • Rushed surveys. Speeding or ineligible answers mean no pay, and can close the account.
  • An identity check. Persona usually takes minutes, but ySense may need up to 10 more business days to review.
  • A support credit on hold. Since May 2024, points added by support wait 7 days for a fraud review.
  • An address check. In the US and Canada, electronic cash-outs wait until your postal address is verified.

If a survey didn't credit, send the survey provider, the Survey ID, the amount, the survey's URL and a screenshot. That's the list ySense asks for, and 16,611 readers voted on that help page.

One more thing to know when you read ySense's help centre. 22 of its 30 articles were last edited in 2021, yet 29 show a September 2026 update. The date on the page isn't the date of the words.

We build PaysFair, which competes with ySense, so weigh this review with that in mind. PaysFair is for people 16 and over. Whatever app you use, the rules worth reading are the ones above: age, one account, the minimum, and how long a cash-out takes.

Questions people ask about ySense

Is ySense legit?

Yes, in the sense that a real company runs it and publishes its rules. ySense is ClixSense renamed in 2019, and its app is sold by Prodege LLC, the company behind Swagbucks. We have not used it ourselves, and ySense's own help centre says it's difficult to say how much anyone can make.

Who owns ySense?

Prodege LLC. The App Store and Google Play list Prodege as the app's seller, Prodege's About page shows the ySense logo next to Swagbucks and InboxDollars, and ySense's Payoneer steps ask you to add Prodege as a fund source.

How do you cash out on ySense?

Once your balance reaches the minimum for the payment method in your profile, a Cashout link appears next to it. ySense pays in US dollars, lets you cash out twice a day, and says processing can take up to 10 business days, or 15 for new accounts.

What is the minimum payout on ySense?

ySense doesn't say in any of its 30 help articles. The cash-out link appears at the minimum for your chosen method, inside your account. Five reviews we read give three different PayPal minimums: $5.80, $10 and $25, and none cites ySense.

Is ySense available in Nigeria?

ySense accepts members 16 and older outside the US, and its iPhone app is listed in Nigeria's App Store, as in India, Pakistan, Kenya and South Africa. A listing doesn't tell you how many surveys you'll get there. Nigeria, India, Pakistan and Kenya aren't on ySense's top tier for referral pay.
