We build PaysFair, an earning app that competes with every app on this page. Judge our bias accordingly, and check the numbers below against the sources at the bottom.

On our map, the survey apps closest to Qmee are LifePoints, Survey Junkie, Branded Surveys, Google Opinion Rewards, HeyPiggy and AttaPoll. LifePoints belongs to Kantar too, the group that runs Qmee.

We read every app's own pages on October 23, 2026, and we haven't used any of them ourselves. Where an app's pages disagree with each other, we print both.

Why do people leave Qmee?

Qmee's terms, last updated February 2026, take residents of six countries: the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, France and Germany. Google's suggestions include "does qmee work in nigeria" and "how to use qmee in other countries".

Its money rules are strict. If an account isn't used for a year, "we will retain the balance in the account", its terms say. If "our algorithms suggest" you're abusing the service, it may cut your payments or stop them. It can suspend an account "at our sole discretion".

Your PayPal account must be verified, registered in your Qmee country and not linked to another Qmee account. Once you link it, you can't unlink it. A gift card needs a PayPal cash-out first, or another identity check. Cashback from shopping can take up to 90 days, and the brand can reject it.

The Better Business Bureau rates Kantar's file, which lists Qmee as another name, D-. The reason it gives is "Failure to respond to 20 complaint(s)". The file counts 25 complaints in three years and 14 in the last 12 months. Three of the six newest are about earnings their writers say they couldn't cash out, or that vanished.

Google also suggests "why has qmee removed paypal" and "is qmee bankrupt". Its FAQ still offers PayPal and Venmo with no minimum. The company question gets its own answer below.

What are the best apps like Qmee?

Six survey apps from Qmee's lane on our map, then ours. Every fact is the app's own, read on October 23, 2026, unless a date says otherwise.

LifePoints

LifePoints pays points for surveys, and Lightspeed LLC in New York, a Kantar group company, runs it. You must be 14 or older, and you can join only in the country where you live. It has members from over 40 countries, its home page says.

You can redeem once you have enough points for its lowest-priced reward, as gift cards or PayPal cash. Donations start at $1. A survey every 90 days keeps the account from being suspended.

What it does better than Qmee: a written review process. If your account is suspended or closed, you can ask for a second review, and it answers within 30 days, its terms say. Qmee's terms describe none, though its privacy notice, the one Lightspeed uses for its panels, promises human review of automated decisions.

Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie pays for surveys, and DISQO owns it. It's for people 18 or older in the US, Canada, Australia or the UK.

You can cash out from $5, or 500 points, to PayPal, a bank account or gift cards. Its identity checks "can include text, email or phone call confirmation", a cross-check with reward partners, or "photo ID verification".

What it does better than Qmee: a few points "Even if you do not qualify for a survey", its FAQ says. Qmee's terms credit rewards only for surveys that are "fully completed".

Branded Surveys

Branded Surveys pays for surveys, app trials, games and product offers, and Dynata owns and operates it, by its terms. It's open to people in the US, Canada and the UK. Its US terms take members from 16.

You can redeem from 500 points, which is $5, to PayPal or gift cards, and to a bank account in the US. Silver and Gold members get "instant payout approval", its FAQ says. Its terms say points expire a year after they're posted, while its help center says they don't expire.

What it does better than Qmee: bank transfers for its US members. Qmee's cash-out list has PayPal, Venmo, gift cards and charities, and no bank.

Google Opinion Rewards

Google Opinion Rewards pays for surveys from market researchers, and Google runs it. You must be over 18. Its Android app is available in 39 countries, India, Brazil and South Africa among them. Its iPhone app works in five: Canada, France, Germany, the UK and the US.

On Android it pays in Google Play credit, and each credit expires a year after you earn it. On iPhone it pays $0.10 to $1.00 a survey, sent to PayPal each time you reach $2.00.

What it does better than Qmee: on Android, there's no cash-out step. The credit goes to your Google Play balance after a survey, with no PayPal account to link.

HeyPiggy

HeyPiggy pays for surveys, and Make Opinion GmbH in Berlin runs it, by its imprint. Its terms take members from 14 with a guardian's consent, and one account per person.

Its home page says "Payout from five dollar" and lists rewards "starting from 1USD". Its FAQ says the $5 floor holds "In the majority of countries". Its terms aim to pay "in real time / instantly" but allow up to 60 days. Points expire 12 months after you earn them.

What it does better than Qmee: reach. Its FAQ says it offers PayPal payouts "in nearly every country", where Qmee takes residents of six.

AttaPoll

AttaPoll pays for surveys, games and other tasks, and AttaPoll Ltd in London runs it. You can join at 13, with a parent's consent if you're under 18.

Its App Store listing says cash-outs start at $3, to PayPal, a bank, Revolut or gift cards. Its terms, in an archive copy of August 29, 2026, say the threshold varies by country and payment method. Six months without a completed activity forfeits your balance.

What it does better than Qmee: it takes members from 13, where Qmee asks for 16.

Our review: AttaPoll review

PaysFair

PaysFair is ours. It pays for surveys, games and campaigns. In a campaign, you post clips and content on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and X. The smallest cash-out is $1.00, paid as a gift card by email. We check the first cash-out by hand.

It's for people 16 or older, and what there is to do depends on your country. It runs on the web and in an Android app on Google Play. Obsidian UG in Germany runs it.

What it does better than Qmee: campaigns. Qmee pays for surveys, cashback, games and searches, and we found no paid posting on its pages.

We build it, so we don't review it.

Is Qmee going out of business?

Qmee Ltd, the seller on its App Store listing and the name in its site footer, is being wound up. Companies House shows a members' voluntary liquidation that began on January 26, 2026. A declaration of solvency was sworn the same day. It's one of the routes GOV.UK lists for closing a company that can pay its bills.

The service runs under another company. Qmee's terms, last updated February 2026, name Kantar UK Ltd in London as the operator. Kantar agreed to buy Qmee in May 2022, its press release says. The App Store shows an update of October 12, 2026.

One line in those terms isn't up to date. They point unresolved complaints to the European Commission's online dispute platform. The Commission discontinued that platform on July 20, 2025.

Which apps share Qmee's owner?

LifePoints does. Its terms name Lightspeed LLC, "a Kantar group company", at 175 Greenwich Street in New York. The BBB's Kantar file, which lists Qmee, gives the same street address.

If the BBB record is why you're leaving, keep in mind that LifePoints sits in the same group. Branded Surveys belongs to Dynata and Survey Junkie to DISQO, by their own pages.

How we picked these apps

Our map of the market holds more than 1,100 earning apps, sorted into lanes by what they pay for. Qmee sits in the survey-apps lane. We took six apps from that lane that pay mainly for surveys. Google's suggestions pair one of them, AttaPoll, with Qmee.

We read the apps' sites on October 23, 2026, from a server in the US. AttaPoll's terms came from an Internet Archive copy of August 29, 2026. We read Google's help pages, the app stores, the BBB and Companies House directly.
