We build PaysFair, an earning app that competes with every app on this page. Judge our bias accordingly, and check the numbers below against the sources at the bottom.
On our map, the apps closest to Mistplay are JustPlay, Cash Giraffe, Scrambly and Rewarded Play, plus Freecash and KashKick. Cash Giraffe and Scrambly publish cash-outs from $0.20 and $1, and five of the six have iPhone apps for game rewards in the US.
We read every app's own pages on October 23, 2026, and we haven't used any of them ourselves. Where an app's pages disagree with each other, we print every number.
Why do people leave Mistplay?
Its own rules name the reasons. A help article edited on October 22, 2026 says an ID check with a selfie is now part of getting gift cards, for all players. Its terms cap what you can redeem at $550 a year, and its units expire after 180 days without earning.
Only games you've never installed before pay, and each game pays for two hours a day, up to checkpoint 20. Its iPhone app is for the US and Canada. We found no reward costs on its pages outside the app.
Google's suggestions for this search include "apps like mistplay but better" and "is there an app like mistplay for ios".
Our Mistplay review covers what a unit is worth.
What are the best apps like Mistplay?
Six apps on our map that pay for games, then ours. Every fact is the app's own, read on October 23, 2026, unless a date says otherwise.
JustPlay
JustPlay pays you coins for playing its featured games, and JustPlay GmbH in Berlin runs it. You must be 18 or older. Its App Store seller is Gimica GmbH.
You can cash out to PayPal, gift cards or a donation. Its terms say there's "usually no minimum threshold", though it may ask for three hours of play before you can redeem. Coins expire six months after they're credited, if you don't redeem them.
It may ask for a face scan, especially at your first cash-out. Your account lives on one install, and uninstalling the app or moving to a new phone loses it, its help center says.
What it does better than Mistplay: usually no minimum, and PayPal money shows up "within just a moment", it says.
Not tested yet.
Cash Giraffe
Cash Giraffe pays gems for play time, game milestones and surveys, and justDice GmbH runs it, by its terms. Apple lists GR Apps GmbH as the seller of its iPhone app. You must be over 18.
You can cash out "from as little as $0.20 to PayPal", or take gift cards from brands such as Amazon and Starbucks. Its help center says PayPal can take up to 5 business days and gift cards up to 7. It pays out in euros in every country.
Before any payout, you'll take a selfie, which it deletes 4 weeks after the payout. In July 2026, its help center reported that a technical issue had wrongly restricted or blocked a number of accounts.
What it does better than Mistplay: a $0.20 cash-out to PayPal.

Scrambly
Scrambly pays for small milestones in games and apps, and Scrambly S.r.l. in Bologna, Italy runs it. It's only for the US, the UK and Canada, and you must be 18 or older. Its terms were last updated on October 21, 2026.
You can "Withdraw from just $1" to PayPal, Visa or gift cards, and rewards arrive "within minutes", it says. You'll pass an ID check first, which "takes 4 minutes most".
On the US App Store, its iPhone app is Scrambly: Earn Money Walking, a walking app.
What it does better than Mistplay: withdrawals from $1, for small milestones.

Rewarded Play
Rewarded Play pays points for levels, play time and milestones in games, and Influence Mobile, Inc. in Bellevue, Washington runs it. It's for people 16 or older in the US, the UK, Canada and Australia.
You redeem points for gift cards from over 40 brands and Visa prepaid cards. Most arrive within 1 to 2 business days, and your first one includes an identity check. Its iPhone app came out in July 2026.
What it does better than Mistplay: it takes players from 16, in the UK and Australia too.
Not tested yet.
Freecash
Freecash pays for games, offers and surveys, and Almedia GmbH runs it, by its terms. It takes people 16 or older. Its PayPal cash-outs cover 124 countries.
Your first cash-out needs $5 to $20, depending on your region, and you'll verify your ID with a selfie then. PayPal, Venmo, Visa and bank transfer cash-outs carry a 5% fee, and gift cards have none.
What it does better than Mistplay: a published first cash-out, and most PayPal and gift card withdrawals are instant, it says.
Our review: Freecash review
KashKick
KashKick pays for games, surveys and deals, and Besitos Corporation, LLC runs it. It's for residents of the 50 US states and DC who are 18 or older.
You can Kash Out from $10 to PayPal, Venmo or gift cards, with "zero fees", it says. Before the first one, you'll need a selfie and a driver's license or passport.
What it does better than Mistplay: a published $10 floor, with no fees.

PaysFair
PaysFair is ours. It pays for surveys, games and campaigns. In a campaign, you post clips and content on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and X. The smallest cash-out is $1.00, paid as a gift card by email. We check the first cash-out by hand.
It's for people 16 or older, and what there is to do depends on your country. It runs on the web and in an Android app on Google Play. Obsidian UG in Germany runs it.
What it does better than Mistplay: a published $1.00 first cash-out.
We build it, so we don't review it.

What's the catch with apps like Mistplay?
Game makers pay these apps to find new players. "Game developers fund the rewards because they're paying to find players like you," Rewarded Play's app page says.
Spending can count. Rewarded Play lists "spending events" among what earns points, and its company page says game developers pay it "to sort each one and pay them in proportion to what they bring". Cash Giraffe gives 20% back on some in-game purchases, up to $20 per game.
Your account can depend on your phone. JustPlay loses your account if you uninstall it, and Rewarded Play can't restore points for a game you've uninstalled. Scrambly's terms say a new device, a reset advertising ID or a reinstall may stop tracking.
Unused coins can expire, too: after six months on JustPlay and 180 days without earning on Mistplay.
Are apps like Mistplay legit?
The six we read all name the company behind them. JustPlay GmbH runs JustPlay, justDice GmbH runs Cash Giraffe, and Scrambly S.r.l. runs Scrambly. Influence Mobile, Inc. runs Rewarded Play, Almedia GmbH runs Freecash, and Besitos Corporation, LLC runs KashKick.
Every one of them can check who you are before a cash-out. JustPlay may ask for a face scan, and Cash Giraffe, Freecash and KashKick ask for a selfie. Scrambly and Rewarded Play name an identity check.
How we picked these apps
Our map of the market holds more than 1,100 earning apps, sorted into lanes by what they pay for. Mistplay sits in the game-rewards lane. We took four big apps from that lane, JustPlay, Cash Giraffe, Scrambly and Rewarded Play. We added Freecash, which Google suggests next to Mistplay, and KashKick, which pays for game goals.
We read their pages on October 23, 2026, from a server in the US.
