We found no Netflix program that pays you to watch. Its rare tagger jobs appear only on its careers site, and a search there on October 23, 2026 found none among 386 openings. Its Preview Club gives invited members early access, with no pay mentioned. Netflix calls the TikTok offers scams.
We build PaysFair, an earning app that competes with some of the ways below, so check their numbers yourself. PaysFair is for people 16 and over.
Does Netflix pay people to watch?
Netflix's terms of use, last updated April 10, 2026, say: "The Netflix service and any content accessed through it are for your personal, non-commercial use only." The same terms say you can't share access outside your household unless you've bought an extra member slot.
In July 2025, WFSB, a Connecticut TV station, asked Netflix about TikToks that promise pay for watching. "A spokesperson confirmed these types of TikToks are scams and are not affiliated with the company," the station reported. It added that Netflix's real tagging jobs "will only be posted on Netflix's official careers site."
We checked that site on October 23, 2026. Its job search listed 386 open roles. A search for "tagger" returned two Android engineering jobs and no tagger role, and "tagging" returned one: a product manager for content understanding.
What is the Netflix Preview Club?
It's the closest Netflix comes to asking viewers for their opinion. Its help page calls it "an invite-only opportunity where members get access to early versions of shows and movies." Members "are pre-selected to join based on things like their viewing behavior and how long they've been a Netflix member," and Netflix says: "We don't accept requests to join."
The page describes early access and surveys, which a partner company hosts, and it doesn't mention pay. You also "must keep what you watch confidential." Its warning matters as much as the perks: "We won't request any payment information or your Netflix account password."
What do the fake Netflix tagger jobs look like?
They promise pay for watching and ask for your details. WFSB described a site that offered $36 an hour to review Netflix content, on a web address with no tie to Netflix. It was taken down, and similar sites took its place.
Trend Micro, a security company, studied one called TagAndChill in November 2022. It copied Netflix's look and pushed lines like "No resume or prior experience is needed" and "Limited spots available." Its "Apply Now" button led to a form asking for a name, address, email address and Social Security number.
The FTC's job scam guide gives the rules that catch these:
- "Honest employers, including the federal government, will never ask you to pay to get a job."
- "Don't pay for the promise of a job."
- Be wary of a job that "claims that you can make a lot of money in a short period of time with little work."
If you gave your details to a fake job, the FTC says you may have an identity theft problem. You can report the scam at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
What pays for watching or talking about shows?
Your own channel. You can review or discuss shows on YouTube, under its rules. It shares ad revenue from 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in a year, and its reused content policy covers channels that repurpose others' content "without adding significant original commentary." Our guide to making money on YouTube has its full bars.
Feedback and research work. UserTesting pays per test for recorded feedback on websites and apps, usually 14 days after the test, by PayPal. Prolific pays cash for research studies, with a $6 smallest cash-out. Both pay for your attention to a set task.
Earning apps. PaysFair, the app we build, pays for surveys, games and campaigns. Its smallest cash-out is $1.00, sent as a gift card by email, and the first one is checked by hand. Our guide to apps that give you money shows who pays the others.
Can you share your Netflix account to make money?
Not under Netflix's terms. They limit the service to "personal, non-commercial use" and to your household. One guide we read suggests sharing an account through its own multi-login tool anyway.
What do other guides on this leave out?
We read five guides on getting paid to watch Netflix on October 23, 2026. None mentions the Preview Club, and none describes the fake tagger sites. Only one names the FTC, and only one checked Netflix's careers site for tagger roles. One prints a tagger salary range from a salary site without a link, and one suggests sharing an account. Two date from 2022 and 2024. All five carry affiliate links or promote their own product.
