In game apps, the cash-out is usually the quick part. The wait comes first: KashKick says game milestones usually stay pending 1 to 31 days, and Freecash can hold offer credits for up to 90 days. Three of the seven apps we read require an ID check before your first cash-out.

We build PaysFair, an earning app that competes with the apps below, so check their numbers yourself. PaysFair is for people 16 and over. This page covers games that pay you for playing and leaves out games you pay to enter. We read each app's own pages on October 23, 2026.

How long until money from a game app is yours?

These are each app's own rules, in their own words where we quote them.

KashKickPending 1 to 31 days, an ID check$10, approved by a person
FreecashHeld up to 90 days, an ID checkFirst $5 to $20, most instant

KashKick. Its home page says "many offers and game milestones have a pending period before the kash is applied to your account. This is usually between 1 to 31 days, with an average around 14 days." Its help gives other windows. Verification usually takes 3 to 14 days and up to 40 in some cases (September 23, 2026), and "Games are typically faster" (October 16, 2026). Before your first Kash Out, you'll need pictures of a driver's license or passport and a selfie. Then "a member of the KashKick team personally reviews and approves the withdrawal, typically within 1 to 3 business days." Its terms (October 15, 2026) add that payments go out on a regular biweekly basis. It pays from $10 and takes members over 18.

Freecash. Its terms (July 17, 2026) say: "We have a right temporarily to hold any offer credits up to 90 days after an Offer has been completed." Your first withdrawal needs an ID check with a selfie and $5 to $20, depending on your region (help, October 22, 2026). Its help also says "a majority of all Freecash withdrawals via PayPal, crypto and gift card are instant." Random security checks can add up to 30 minutes.

Mistplay. Its Economy Disclosure (July 25, 2024) says there can be pending time windows before units reach your wallet, while it verifies your tasks with the game's maker. "An ID check is now part of getting gift cards from the Mistplay Shop for all players," its help says (October 22, 2026), with a government-issued ID and a selfie. Its gift cards page says "Most rewards are processed within an hour." Its help adds that processing an order "can take up to 48 hours" (May 14, 2025). Its terms (October 1, 2026) cap rewards at $550 a calendar year and bar anyone under 18.

Cash Giraffe. Its terms (August 1, 2020) say "Before any payouts are made, users must take a selfie using the app on their device." Its How It Works page (September 14, 2026) is milder: Android users are occasionally asked for face verification, and iPhone users don't need it to cash out. Its home page says you can redeem "from just $0.20" and that "PayPal payouts are designed to be instant." It adds that "Most players see their first payout within a few hours of reaching the minimum." Its terms take users over 18.

JustPlay. Its terms (June 8, 2026) say there's "usually no minimum threshold" to redeem. They also say it "may impose a minimum activity requirement of three hours of gameplay or App usage before permitting any Reward redemption." You may be asked for a face scan, "particularly when redeeming Coins for the first time." Its help (May 19, 2025) says PayPal money "should be visible on your PayPal balance within just a moment!"

JumpTask. Its payouts page (October 8, 2026) says "Most payouts arrive instantly," from $1 the first time and $0.50 after. Its user agreement (July 17, 2026) says it "may require the User to verify their identity" before any payout, and it takes members from 18.

Earning apps like ours. PaysFair pays for games, surveys and campaigns. Our code checks a partner's earning for 30 days by default, and our help says the company behind the task also has to pay us before the money is yours. The smallest cash-out is $1.00, sent as a gift card by email, and your first cash-out is checked by hand.

Why does game money wait at all?

It's because the money starts with an advertiser, who checks that you've really reached the goal. KashKick says its pending period is there because it "needs to verify your activity with third-party partners to confirm their requirements are met." Our games guide explains who pays for game rewards and why your hours are capped. Our instant payouts guide compares how long the cash-out itself takes at each app.

When does unused game money expire?

Game money can lapse if you don't use it. Here's the rule in each app's own terms, read on October 23, 2026.

AppWhen unused money can lapse
KashKickAfter 185 days without activity
FreecashIf it closes an account after a year with no login
MistplayAfter 180 days without earning units
Cash GiraffeA year after the coins are credited
JustPlaySix months after coins are credited
JumpTaskAfter six months without activity
PaysFairNo expiry in our terms

Cash Giraffe's terms call its reward currency coins, and its site calls them gems.

Which game money offers are scams?

The FTC calls task scams "gamified job scams": you do simple tasks in an app and watch your supposed earnings grow. Then the app asks you to deposit your own money, usually in crypto, to get them out. "Never pay anyone to get paid, or to get a job," the FTC says. "That's a sure sign of a scam." It also says not to trust anyone who says they'll pay you to rate or like things online: "That's illegal and no honest company will do it."

We read five guides that rank for this on October 23, 2026, and six more wouldn't load for us. Only one of the five mentions verifying your identity, for one app, though three of the seven apps we read require an ID check before the first cash-out. None of the five gives a single app's pending period for game rewards or its rule for when unused money expires. None of them mentions Mistplay's $550 yearly cap either. One says outright that Mistplay pays instantly, while Mistplay says most rewards are processed within an hour and an order can take up to 48 hours. None of the five names the FTC or uses the word scam.

Questions people ask about games that pay real money instantly

Are there any games that pay real money instantly?

The cash-out can be quick at some apps, but the game money usually waits first. KashKick says game milestones usually stay pending 1 to 31 days, and Freecash's terms let it hold offer credits for up to 90 days.

What game apps pay you instantly?

None we read promises it for the whole trip. JumpTask says most payouts arrive instantly and Cash Giraffe says its PayPal payouts are designed to be instant, but both describe the cash-out step, after the game money is yours.

What games pay instantly to PayPal?

JustPlay says PayPal money should show up within just a moment, Cash Giraffe says its PayPal payouts are designed to be instant, and Freecash says most of its PayPal, crypto and gift card withdrawals are instant. Freecash asks for an ID check with a selfie first, Cash Giraffe's terms ask for a selfie, and JustPlay may ask for a face scan.

Are apps that pay you to play games a scam?

Some are businesses that publish their rules, like the ones on this page. The FTC says an app that asks you to deposit your own money to get your earnings out is running a task scam, and that's the line to watch.

How long do game app rewards stay pending?

It depends on the app, and sometimes on which of its pages you read. KashKick's home page says usually 1 to 31 days, while its help says 3 to 14 days and up to 40 in some cases. Freecash's terms allow holds of up to 90 days, and PaysFair checks a partner's earning for 30 days by default.
