We build PaysFair, an earning app that competes with every app on this page. Judge our bias accordingly, and check the numbers below against the sources at the bottom.
On our map of the market, the apps closest to Freecash are Swagbucks, KashKick, HeyCash, PrizeRebel, JumpTask and InboxDollars. Outside the US, Swagbucks, PrizeRebel and JumpTask say they're open in many countries. HeyCash and JumpTask state the smallest cash-outs.
We read each app's own pages on October 23, 2026: its terms, help and payout pages, wherever it publishes them. We haven't used any of them ourselves: no account, no install, no cash-out. Where an app's own pages disagree with each other, we print every number.
Why do people leave Freecash?
Freecash's own help pages name the rules that trip people up. Four of the 15 we read call their own rule frustrating:
- Held offers. All your offers are held while your chargeback rate is above 10%, and Freecash says it can't release them early.
- One account per household. Freecash allows one account per person and one per household.
- No VPN. That includes iCloud Private Relay. Confirmed VPN use after warnings is the first reason it lists for a ban, and a ban is final.
- The ID check. Your first withdrawal needs a selfie and a physical ID document.
Three more rules sit in its terms and payout pages. Your first cash-out needs $5 to $20, depending on your region. PayPal, Venmo, Visa and bank transfer cash-outs carry a 5% fee, plus $1 on $5, $10 and $20 PayPal cash-outs. And Freecash may hold offer credits for up to 90 days after you finish an offer. Our guide to why a balance stays pending explains holds like these.
Google's suggestions for "freecash alternative" include "no kyc" and "uk".
The app also left both stores for a while. TechCrunch reported on April 14, 2026, that Apple had pulled Freecash after TechCrunch asked it for comment. Apple pointed to two of its guidelines, which TechCrunch says forbid scamming users, bait-and-switch tactics and misleading marketing. Google removed the app from Google Play on April 15. Freecash's company denied using deceptive marketing. Its own help page says the app returned after earlier removals. Both listings were live when we checked on October 23, 2026.
The Better Business Bureau lists 953 complaints filed in the last three years against Freecash's US company. It shows the company as "Not Rated" and says it "does not process complaints on companies based outside our service area". Who runs Freecash, and why its accounts stop getting paid, is in our Freecash review.
What are the best apps like Freecash?
These six come from Freecash's own lane on our map of the market, and PaysFair comes last. Every fact comes from the app's own pages or its store listing, read on October 23, 2026, unless a date says otherwise.
Swagbucks
Swagbucks pays for surveys, games and shopping deals, and Prodege LLC sells its app. It says it's live in most countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia, and in some in Africa. You can join at 13, and it encourages teens to get a parent's permission first.
Rewards are priced in SB. When we priced its US catalog on September 22, 2026, $1 cost 100 SB and the cheapest gift cards were $5. A $5 PayPal reward cost 530 SB, 30 more than a $5 gift card. Its reward pages no longer show prices in the page, so we couldn't check them again. Gift cards arrive in minutes to 5 business days, and PayPal in 2 to 5.
What it does better than Freecash: everyone in a household may have their own account, one each.
Our review: Swagbucks review
KashKick
KashKick pays for games, surveys and deals. It only takes residents of the 50 US states and DC who are 18 or older, and Besitos Corporation, LLC runs it. Its balance counts 1 Kash as $1.
You can cash out at $10, to PayPal or gift cards, and KashKick says there are "zero fees". A person on its team approves each payout, typically within 1 to 3 business days. Offer earnings usually stay pending for 1 to 31 days first, about 14 on average.
What it does better than Freecash: no cash-out fee, by its own account, where Freecash takes 5% on PayPal.
Not tested yet.
HeyCash
HeyCash pays for surveys, offers and games. Its Google Play listing names Hey Cash AB in Stockholm, Sweden. It has an Android app and says it works on any device with internet access.
Its FAQ says withdrawals are instant "and there is no minimum amount required to withdraw", by PayPal, bank transfer or gift card. We couldn't read its age or country rules, because its terms page loads its text in the browser.
What it does better than Freecash: no stated minimum at all.
Not tested yet.
PrizeRebel
PrizeRebel pays for surveys, offers and more, and iAngelic, Inc. of Nevada runs it. It says it's "available globally", though Venmo and bank transfer are for the US only. You can join at 18, or at 16 with a parent's permission.
Its home page puts gift cards at $5 and up and the PayPal minimum at $5. Below its Gold level, reward claims are processed within about 24 hours. Like Freecash, it allows one account per person or household and bans proxies. We read its terms and home page in Internet Archive copies of October 12 and October 4, 2026, because its site shows our server a bot check.
What it does better than Freecash: a $5 PayPal minimum, where Freecash's first cash-out can need $20 in some regions.
Our review: PrizeRebel review
JumpTask
JumpTask pays for small tasks, AI training, videos, social media actions, surveys and games. Hiville, UAB runs it under Lithuanian law. It says it works in over 100 countries, for people 18 or older.
Your first payout needs $1, and every one after that $0.50. Each payout option sets its own minimum, though. Prepaid options such as PayPal start at $1 and carry a 4% fee, while gift cards carry no platform fee and arrive instantly. On August 10, 2026, it swapped its own crypto token for credits, at a fixed $1 per 1,000.
What it does better than Freecash: a $1 first cash-out, where Freecash's starts at $5.
Not tested yet.
InboxDollars
InboxDollars pays for surveys, shopping and other online tasks. It's for US residents 18 or older, and Prodege LLC sells its app, as it does Swagbucks'. Your balance is kept in dollars, so there's no rate to work out.
Its help center gives two minimums, though: $15 for a first payment in one article, and $30 in its payment terms. It also gives three payout times: about 3 business days, up to 10 business days, and 10 to 16 days. And 10 days without a visit can make your account inactive, which removes a payment request.
What it does better than Freecash: a balance in dollars, where Freecash counts coins.
Our review: InboxDollars review
PaysFair
PaysFair is ours. It pays for surveys, games and campaigns, where you post clips and content on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and X. The smallest cash-out is $1.00, paid as a gift card by email, and we check the first cash-out by hand.
It's for people 16 or older, and what there is to do depends on your country. It runs on the web and in an Android app on Google Play. Obsidian UG in Germany runs it.
What it does better than Freecash: a $1.00 first cash-out, where Freecash's needs $5 to $20.
We build it, so we don't review it.
Which one has the smallest cash-out?
| App | Smallest cash-out | Paid as |
|---|---|---|
| HeyCash | No minimum | PayPal, bank, gift card |
| JumpTask | $1, then $0.50 | Gift card, crypto, prepaid |
| PaysFair | $1.00 | Gift card by email |
| Freecash | $5 to $20 first | PayPal, bank, crypto, gift card |
| PrizeRebel | $5 | Gift card, PayPal |
| Swagbucks | $5 gift card | Gift card, PayPal |
| KashKick | $10 | PayPal, gift card |
| InboxDollars | $15 or $30 | Gift card, PayPal |
Every amount is the app's own, read on October 23, 2026, PrizeRebel's in an Internet Archive copy of October 4. Swagbucks' amount is from our read of its US catalog on September 22, 2026. InboxDollars' help center gives both of its numbers.
Who can join, and from where?
| App | Age | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Swagbucks | 13 | Americas, Europe, Asia |
| Freecash | 16 | PayPal in 124 countries |
| PaysFair | 16 | Depends on country |
| PrizeRebel | 18, or 16 with a parent | Globally |
| KashKick | 18 | US only |
| InboxDollars | 18 | US only |
| JumpTask | 18 | Over 100 countries |
| HeyCash | Not found | Not found |
Freecash's own list of PayPal countries runs to 124, and it offers surveys only in select regions.
Is there an app like Freecash with no ID check?
Not among the five alternatives whose rules we could read. Each of them can ask for ID, and KashKick always does when you redeem, as Freecash does on your first cash-out:
| App | When it asks for ID |
|---|---|
| Freecash | Your first cash-out |
| KashKick | When you redeem |
| Swagbucks | Occasionally |
| InboxDollars | Occasionally |
| PrizeRebel | May ask |
| JumpTask | May ask |
| HeyCash | Not found |
| PaysFair | First cash-out checked by hand |
When Swagbucks and InboxDollars ask, it's typically for a government ID and a selfie. PrizeRebel names a driver's license or passport.
Can you use a VPN on apps like Freecash?
Mostly no. Freecash, KashKick, InboxDollars and PrizeRebel ban VPNs or proxies in their rules, and JumpTask bans them on offerwalls. Swagbucks' help center says a VPN or proxy can make an offer fail to track. PaysFair doesn't count surveys and offers done over a VPN or proxy. If a VPN got you banned at Freecash, you'll meet the same rule at most of these apps.
Are apps like Freecash legit?
The six we checked all name a company in their terms or store listings. Apple lists Prodege LLC as the seller of both Swagbucks and InboxDollars. By their own terms, Besitos runs KashKick, iAngelic runs PrizeRebel and Hiville runs JumpTask. HeyCash's Google Play listing names Hey Cash AB, and Freecash's terms name Almedia GmbH in Berlin.
KashKick and Freecash both say where the money comes from. KashKick says brands "pay us to introduce them to new users, and we share a chunk of that revenue with you." Freecash says it connects you with "companies that need survey respondents, app testers, and product reviewers."
Being legit won't keep every account paying, though. The rules we read let each app close an account that breaks them, and an unused balance doesn't last forever:
- Freecash may close an account after a year without a login, and its balance expires.
- KashKick's unredeemed Kash can expire after 185 days without activity.
- PrizeRebel voids points after 180 days without a login or new points.
- JumpTask's credits can expire after six months unused.
- InboxDollars removes an account after six months without a visit, and the cash in it.
What data do apps like Freecash collect?
Freecash's terms describe two optional features. One uses your list of installed apps to pick the offers you're shown. On Android, the other reads your app usage to measure the games and apps you play for rewards. Its ID check adds a selfie and a document.
TechCrunch's April 14, 2026 report calls Freecash a "data harvesting app", citing the cybersecurity company Malwarebytes. We didn't read that report, so this section sticks to the apps' own terms.
KashKick's ID check asks for your name, your address and a photo of an identifying document. KashKick says it doesn't store those itself.
Is HeyCash the same as Freecash?
No. They name different companies. HeyCash's Google Play listing gives Hey Cash AB at an address in Stockholm, Sweden. Freecash's terms give Almedia GmbH in Berlin, Germany.
Their rules aren't the same either. HeyCash's FAQ states no minimum to withdraw, while Freecash's first cash-out needs $5 to $20.
Is Freecash better than Swagbucks or KashKick?
It depends on what pushed you away. Freecash pays most PayPal, crypto and gift card withdrawals instantly, but it takes 5% on PayPal and allows one account per household. Swagbucks takes 2 to 5 business days for PayPal, and it lets everyone in a household join from age 13.
KashKick suits a US adult who wants no fees: $10 to PayPal, approved by a person, usually in 1 to 3 business days. Outside the US, you'll want Freecash or Swagbucks instead.
Which apps like Freecash work on iPhone?
Freecash, Swagbucks, KashKick and InboxDollars all have apps on Apple's US App Store. Apple's US search found no app under HeyCash's, JumpTask's or PrizeRebel's name. HeyCash says it works on any device with internet access. JumpTask's help center explains how to add it to an iPhone home screen. PaysFair runs on the web and on Android.
How we picked these apps
Our map of the market holds more than 1,100 earning apps, sorted into lanes by what they pay for. Freecash sits in the offer-sites lane, with apps that pay for offers, surveys and games. We took the live apps of that lane that pay for most of what Freecash does, and the ones people search for next to it.
Apps that pay only for games sit in another lane, so they aren't here. Our guide to games that pay real money looks at that side. We read the apps' own pages on October 23, 2026, from a server in the US. PrizeRebel's site shows that server a bot check, so its terms and home page came from the Internet Archive.
Questions people ask about Freecash
What apps are like Freecash?
The six closest in its own lane are Swagbucks, KashKick, HeyCash, PrizeRebel, JumpTask and InboxDollars. KashKick and InboxDollars take US adults only. Swagbucks, PrizeRebel and JumpTask say they're open in many countries. We read every app's own pages on October 23, 2026.
Is HeyCash the same as Freecash?
No. They name different companies. HeyCash's Google Play listing gives Hey Cash AB in Stockholm, Sweden. Freecash's terms give Almedia GmbH in Berlin, Germany.
Are apps like Freecash legit?
The six we checked all name a company in their terms or store listing. Being legit won't keep every account paying, though. The rules we read let each app close an account that breaks them. Freecash, KashKick, PrizeRebel, JumpTask and InboxDollars also clear a balance left unused for six months to a year.
Is there a Freecash alternative with no ID check?
Not among the five whose rules we could read. Freecash checks ID on your first withdrawal and KashKick when you redeem. Swagbucks and InboxDollars say they occasionally ask for a government ID and a selfie. PrizeRebel and JumpTask may ask. We couldn't read HeyCash's rules.
How do apps like Freecash make money?
From the companies that want your time. KashKick says brands pay it to introduce them to new users, and it shares part of that revenue with you. Freecash says it connects you with companies that need survey respondents, app testers and product reviewers.
