Delete your PaysFair account
PaysFair, the app and paysfair.com, is run by Obsidian UG (haftungsbeschränkt). You can close your account at any time, in the app or by email.
In the app
- Open You, then All settings.
- Open Close my account at the bottom.
- Confirm with your password, or with Google if you joined with Google.
Cash out first: a closed account cannot ask for a cash-out. The same steps work on paysfair.com.
Without the app
Write to [email protected] from the email address of your account, with the subject "Delete my account". A person reads it, closes the account and answers you, within a month at the latest.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in and your email address.
- Your profile answers.
- The error reports and steps recorded for your account.
What is kept, and for how long
- Money: every movement of a balance is an accounting record, and German law requires those to be kept for ten years. Closing your account removes your identity from them; the amounts and dates stay.
- Consents: for as long as we might have to prove one.
The privacy policy lists everything we store and why.
